Board Game: Mensch Ärgere Dich nicht
Project Status Finished
Project Type School
Project Duration 1 month
Software Used Greenfoot
Languages Used Java

As an early school project I created a really basic version of the famous German board game "Mensch ärgere dich nicht" in Java inside the Greenfoot environment. It respected all the rules of the game properly and allowed to play locally with up to 4 players. The project scored 15/15 points during evaluation.

In order to play simply download the following JAR file and execute it while having the Java Runtime Environment installed:

Download Mensch_FINAL.jar

To get going press the Run button first and enter your desired player count (1-4). Then each player selects their color by clicking on one of the figures. Afterwards the players take turns casting the dice by clicking on the dice symbol, which is a bit finicky.

Initially each player needs to get a 6 to be able to leave the base - the dice does not show what you got if it isn't a 6 at the very start. So keep going until you get a 6 and move on from there.
